As many of you know, there has been a clamoring for this game to have a homepage. We agree with those of you who have said that it might help welcome and attract new players to the game. And from looking at the signature banners that pop up every 4 IG years, it's obvious that this game is home to a number of talented graphic artists and designers.

So, here's your chance to pitch in. The admin staff is holding a design contest for our new homepage. Please send in your submissions within 3 weeks, either by sending a PM to me (Summy) or by sending an e-mail to usgshomepagecontest@gmail.com. The webpage should be work-safe, inviting, and appealing. It should describe what the game is about and give basic information about how the game works and how to play, as well as contain a link to the boards. It does not have to be a detailed set of rules. The key is to create something that will help attract and retain new players and to be creative.

The submissions will be judged by the staff and possibly the players. Elements of multiple submissions may be used in the final product.

There will be no in-game benefit to the winners of this contest. However, if your work is used, you will receive credit on the homepage. Collaboration is both allowed and encouraged.

Please keep your designs simple - html, text, and images, no java or flash.

By submitting a design, you are agreeing that the admin staff may use, modify, edit, or alter your work at our discretion. You are also agreeing to provide any images, code, information, etc. that might be necessary for us to use your design as our homepage.
