Sidney Lang was born to Joseph and Sofie Lang of Allentown PA in 1945. Sidney was the youngest of 4 children. After graduating from high school, Sidney attended Penn State where he earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering. After graduating in 1967, Sidney went to work with a large firm where he managed construction projects. By 1980 Sidney was tired of constantly moving from town to town so settled back in Allentown. There he helped start a construction company, building mostly moderately sized buildings usually involving education, healthcare or government buildings. In 1987 Sid decided to enter politics. He won a crowded Democratic primary and was then elected Lehigh County Executive and won another term in 1991.

Sidney married his wife Karen in 1975. They have two daughters, born in 1980 and 1984 respectively.

I don't know what 1990 districts looked like but you are a good bit south of me with current maps. I used to work in Drexel Hill, god I hated that job. Heck, I don't even know if we are using 1990 maps and demos.
