The game year is 1992, you can't start out as Senator, and you have to specify a House District.

Welcome to the game, but you can't be a Senator - everyone starts out as a Congressman. You have to run in elections to be a senator. Also, we've just started this round of the game, and it's 1992 IG.

EDIT: Beat to it tongue.gif

You also can't use the name of a real life politician as your character, and we don't have senators from each state -- we use a regional system instead.
