Or as ULL, the one who tries to be University of Louisiana, would really be known in 1958 is Southwestern Louisiana Institute.

In fact ULL tried to change their name to University of Louisiana back in the 90s and were crushed by the district court.

Nonetheless part of their name is still University of Louisiana. We can thus assume he is referring to one of them.

If you are going to harp on semantics that have absolutely ZERO effect on the game or me as a player, you can say its at Lafayette. I've never seen anybody object to not putting the exact campus location before, seems like one of the most petty things you could pick apart about my bio.
