BIOGRAPHY:
Evan Baxter was born March 1, 1955 in Jacksonville, Florida. The child of Bruce and Jennifer Baxter, who owned a small law firm, where Evan was raised with a rich belief in the sanctity of Constitutional Laws and the freedoms they protect, especially that of journalism; and the men and woman of the Armed Services who fight to protect these laws.
Through hard work in school, and a few well-earned connections, Evan was chosen to attend the US Naval Academy in Maryland. After graduating, Evan enjoyed a commendation-rich career, where his talents in journalism was cultivated leading to his transfer to the Navy's public relations.
After leaving the service Evan took up a job as an Assistant Editor for the Jacksonville Daily News. This eventually lead to his joining the news team for WPLG-Local 10 Eyewitness News, to News Anchor, and eventually to a landslide election to Congress.
While in the Military, Evan married Joan, and today has three children.
