For this election cycle, we grappled with a cunundrum of when to place them around the RL elections coming up, hence the delay in posting this until now. Due to the close proximity of the elections, there is only one fundraising deadline, as opposed to the two there would normally be, you need all 6 fundraisers in by October 11. House election schedule will coincide with this, but I'll let JWK post that.
As usual, all deadlines are 23:59 EST.
October 11 (Monday) - Final fundraising cutoff date
October 14 (Thursday) - Final FEC filing deadline
October 15 (Friday) - Primaries (budget, platform, and Day 1 due by 23:59); Congress adjourns
October 16 (Saturday) - Primary results released; platforms/budgets due for general elections by 23:59
October 17 (Sunday) - Prepolls
October 18 (Monday) - Day 1
October 19 (Tuesday) - Day 2
October 20 (Wednesday) - Halfpolls
October 21 (Thursday) - Day 3
October 22 (Friday) - Day 4; all events due by 23:59; drop-dead deadline
October 23-24 (Saturday/Sunday) - Transition/results finalized
October 25 (Monday) - Game returns to normal

To confirm, Great Plains 2 is up for election this year. Were JWK the Senator elected in 92, by right of his admin acension his seat would not face special election, but as he was appointed to a seat vacated by Kagura we're still dealing with the special election in 94 for Mia Brown's vacated term.

Note to the Senate: As the closing time is the 15th, the last day you should bring anything up to the floor/in committees for debate is the 9th (this Saturday). Outstanding debates must obtain cloture by 23:59 on October 12. Anything on the floor that has not obtained cloture by that time is DoA.

Please note the
Starting Funds. In the previous couple election cycles, we had starting funds+matching funds. For this one, at least temporarily, its just starting funds. We're going to see how well most candidates are financed this election to determine the permanant starting/matching scale.
A note on Org: We realize practically none (if not any) of you will be able to afford level 3 campaign org for all four days of your campaigns. This is intentional. Org was meant to be an integral part of campaign startegy, and it instead has been taken for granted all of last reset. Spend wisely, because we want you to be making the critical decision between levels of org, where, what days, and if you should spend the money on an ad instead.
EDIT: And yes, as usual, you need to have served in the office you are running for 45 days or more in order to be considered "Incumbent."
And any previous referrence to $1.5 million was erroneous. There is no $1.5 million in addition to the above stated starting funds. The above stated starting funds are it, exclusively.

Both the Great Plains seat and Sunbelt seat for the Senate will have their schedules pushed back two days on all deadlines. MWS fundraisers should be done tonight/tomorrow afternoon depending on how long I'm awake. Looooong day and not sure how much longer I'll be conscious.

My internet's being spotty, so my races that are scheduled to have halfpolls (Great Plains Senate and MWS Lt. Governor) may or may not get them tonight after Day Two has concluded. If it cooperates long enough for me to grade, then you'll have them sometime past midnight Eastern - if not, you'll have them tomorrow afternoon.

Shenandoah halfpolls will be slightly delayed tonight as I won't have access to my computer with grading spreadsheets until after midnight. No change in deadlines.
The Dixie Lt. Governor race will be delayed. Since it's a non-funded race, all this means is that the Dixie legislature will begin a couple of days late. Prepolls will be posted after Shenandoah halfpolls.

For those of you that are not aware, I have no internet connection at home. Because of that, House election results will likely be delayed until Monday morning. This weekend looks to be a relatively busy one for me and I doubt I will find time to go to the library or coffee shop to grade the last day's worth of events.
The schedule, however, remains the same: all events are due by 23:59 tonight.

Don't miss the important announcement about House Elections above.
I will be announcing my races (MWS Lt. Governor and Great Plains Senate tonight, Sunbelt Senate tomorrow) in the IRC chatroom as they are graded. I'm aiming to have both of tonight's races ready to go by midnight Central, as a heads up.

Just a heads up, my results probably won't be out until tomorrow afternoon or evening. You can thank RL elections for that.

Sorry to bump again, and don't miss Mason's heads-up, but Sunbelt Senate will have results out after Day 4 which is still Sunday. Apologies for the confusion.

I'm working on House elections and will hopefully have results to post later today (depending on how busy my real job keeps me).
