Hayes
Updated for 2014, as well as the changes immediately after.

Also, for a fun note, we're likely to seat the 2,000 United States Senator in this game. Kristen Gillibrand is the 1,910th person to serve in the United States Senate, and assuming, for game purposes, she was the last person sworn in during the 111th Congress which preceded the start of this game, that would make Patricia Sorenson the 1,973rd person to serve in the United States Senate. The average rate of turnover between elections has been 7 Senators, and the average turnover in elections has been 6.5. So in the 2018 election we should sware in the 2,000th Senator.

Updated for 2016 and beyond. 16 more Senators to 2,000th (Kennedy, as with the real Senate, does not count twice. He remains the 1,913th person to serve in the Senate, but does not also become the 1,985th - yes, we've had 64 Senators this reset X_X). I am not sure we'll hit 2,000th by the 2018 election anymore. We only got 2 new Senators out of 2016 (way below average for an election), and although the 5 vacancies already created this session has made up for that, I don't think we'll get more than 13 resignations this session.

Also, Stamford never formally resigned. I ask everyone to post a resignation to give me a precise end date, to coincide with the precise start date (your oath of office post, technically). I'll let it slip this time like I did with Reed and Rasan, but again, please always post your resignation!
Hayes
Updated for 2018 (Kent and Kowalchuk replacements to be added)! And, after a horrendous 12 seat changes last session, and 3 new Senators sworn in here (Morey, like Kennedy/Brocklin did not count twice. Morey remains the 1,946th United States Senator, but does not also become the 1,995th), we're just days away from the 2,000th Senator. Hood is the 1,997. Mallory is 1,998th, although not officially added in here yet. Kowalchuk's replacement will be 1,999th... and the next Senator after that will be the 2,000th Senator in U.S. history. The first bastard to resign this session will be replaced by a historic, if completely meaningless, number! biggrin.gif
