We've joked about it. Now it's going to be real. The United States Government Simulation Hall of Fame. The rules are as follows:

The United States Government Simulation Hall of Fame is the place where the players of USG recognize excellence. Each month, players may cast ballots to select the best of the best in the following categories:

Best Player - The player that brought the most to the game in the past month. Limited to active players only (including media players).

Best New Player - The best player who signed up the past month. New players are our lifeblood.

Best Debate - The best debate in the House, Senate, or regional legislature.

Best Post - The best single post, whether IC or OOC.

Best Storyline - The best story, be it an Admin-generated news story and the player response, or a player-created role-playing story.

Best 4E Story - The best piece of 4E generated news media.

Best OOC Thread - The best thread in General Discussion or Politics.

The nomination thread for each month will open toward the middle of that month. Players will have until one week into the next month to post a ballot. Ballots shall have links to the nominated post/thread (in the case of nomination for best debate, post, storyline, 4E story, or OOC thread) or a brief explanation of why a player or new player was the best for the month. Ballots not containing such information may be disregarded at the discretion of the admins. Ballots may be edited freely until the close of the balloting period.

After balloting is closed, the top five nominees (i.e., those with the most nominations) in each category shall be voted on in a poll. The winners of that poll shall enter the Hall of Fame!

For ballots, please use the format given below:



One ballot per person. Nomination to the Hall of Fame confers no in-game benefits. No debate in the nomination thread. Void in Paraguay.

Finally, one critical rule - this is just for fun. Therefore, no politics and no politicking. Or, to be blunt - if we hear of people whipping, dealing, threatening, bargaining, promising, or other colluding for votes, those engaging in such actions will become our local Pete Rose, and forever be banned from the Hall of Fame. And if it goes on too much, the Hall of Fame will close.
