Still, as with the Gang of Ten, we recognize that there are times where private, bipartisan meeting places are conducive to the game. To that end, I would kindly direct your attention to The District in Lake Wobegon, where you will see two new (OK, not really new, just renamed) forums- The Madison Hotel and Zutinaya's. These are two private, password protected forums that will be available for "rental".
If you would like to host a private meeting to discuss in-game matters with your fellow players, simply PM me for a reservation. I will give you the password to one of the forums, which you will then need to distribute to your guests. You may then hold your meeting in private, away from prying eyes. At the conclusion of your reservation (see below), you should save any material you want to keep, as all threads will then be dumped into a locked archive, and the password changed for the next guests.
When using this service, please observe the following guidelines-
- Because I can't predict the demand, I'm currently setting the time limit for reservations at one week. If no one is in line behind you, it's fine if you linger, but if another reservation comes up you'll have to vacate the premises. Depending on demand, this time limit may change in the future.
- This is an In-Character forum. Treat it as such.
- RP'ing is fine, but please don't reserve a room if that's your sole intent.
- These are intended for meetings. Please don't take a room just to use it for your private election stuff, or things of that nature. I'm not going to make some kind of minimum number of guests, just use your best judgement as to what constitutes a meeting.
- If your meeting is dead, i.e. nobody showed up, management (me) reserves the right to kick you out early and allow the next group in line inside.
- There is no functional difference between the two. If you PM me for a reservation, I'll give you one for the room that will be available soonest.
