You will write your own events and ads for campaigns, or you will default.
Hayden
Under no circumstances will you edit your events, ads, or budget after they are revealed. To do so brings the entire edited post into question, as neither your opponent or your grading admin can determine whether you edited in response to your opponent's actions. Therefore, if you edit an election post after it has been revealed, that post will be disregarded completely. You can lose an entire day of events, or your budget actions, or an ad. If you have to clarify something, make a new post. The integrity of the election system is paramount.

If you edit two election posts in the same election, you will be disqualified.

This does not apply to your original budget post, of course, where you keep track of your overall spending.

See a similar rule regarding fundraisers.

Editing any in-character post can call into question the original contents of the post. At no time should an in-character post be edited. The boards are designed with a "Preview Post" feature. It is highly recommended that, before you post, you read over the contents of your post, preview your post for HTML errors, and then submit your post.

If, even after editing and previewing your post, you see an error follow this sage advice: Leave. It. Be.

The world will not end if you spelled a word incorrectly. Your character will not be tarnished if you forgot to close your HTML tag. The only person making it a big deal is you. Leave it.

Noted Exceptions: Due to the mechanics of the game, players may edit the following posts . . .
  • Warchests after fundraisers have been graded to account for newly added funds
  • Voting records
  • FEC Filing posts
  • Biographies

If you notice a mistake and just can't stand to leave it, make a new post noting and correcting the previous one. Then we know exactly what you changed and what you didn't, so there's no question and no harm done.
